For a long time after I began a website site, I had filled this "About Me" section with facts about myself... where I'm from, my age, my interests, what schools I attended, what degrees I hold, how long I have been a teacher, what schools I have taught at, and on and on. However recently I have had some what of a revelation. It occurred to me that, "No one really cares about those things, I mean not REALLY."
So from this time on, my "About Me" section will be stocked with the words that I feel do really matter. Here I will post a selection of quotes and words of wisdom from those that I have collected over my lifetime and that I have looked to again and again for inspiration and direction. It is my hope that this will allow for a more meaningful look into who I am both as a person and as a teacher. It is also my wish that these words might prove valuable and beneficial to some of you just as they have for me.
Please enjoy and feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

"One day a grandfather told his grandson the story of the two wolves that live inside each of us.
He told his grandson that we all have two wolves living inside of us and since neither wolf is powerful enough to totally destroy the other, they are always fighting with one another.
One wolf is evil. He embodies our anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
The other wolf is Good. He embodies our joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.
The grandson thought for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "If the two wolves are of equal power, which one will win?"
His grandfather turned to the boy and softly replied, "The one you feed." "
